The Giving Project

Hello to all the globaldreamers,
Our Chanukah vacation was wonderful and we are now back for a long period until Purim. I am thrilled with the fantastic materials we have been receiving from so many educators and their students around the world. Evidence of this can be found on the Jewish holiday section, the celebrations section on share has great Christmas cards and materials. The giving is special project has many schools and unique materials.I highly recommend showing it to everyone involved. It is truly heartwarming to see so many different and beautiful materials! Thank you all so much for being fantastic Globaldreamers.
It is not too late! Educators and children may still continue sending us materials.
Sincerely,

Giving is a special thing

To all the Globaldreamers!
It has been great watching everyone participate in our fall project. The results are just fantastic. I thank everyone warmly for all of the beautiful contributions. I hope everyone who celebrated Thanksgiving had a wonderful holiday. We are thankful for our wonderful partners and friends around the world.

This is a special time of the year and Chanukah is very early this year. My 5th graders have written about Chanukah on the Jewish Holidays link. We hope the act of giving and sharing will be in everyone's hearts around the world.

The 6th graders and I also shared the act of giving and sharing with Rick Glass ahd his class in Warsaw, Indiana. Rick sent me pictures of the smiling faces and they are just great. We hope our gifts of friendship will remain a fond memory for all of them.

Our next holiday will be in the spirit of giving and love. The holidays are now around the corner, Christmas, Chanukah, etc so please join our next project that is called "Giving is a special thing". Inspired by The Giving Tree, by Shel Silverstein, our next activity invites everyone to share their ideas and thoughts about giving. This fantastic lesson was created by Janet B. of Julian, one of my best friends and colleagues in the world. Thank you, Janet.

We will also love to receive pictures of Christmas trees, Chanukah parties, lamps, etc to put up for everyone to enjoy. Please send animations, drawings and children's stories for us to add for all of us.

The kids and I have also been working on our GVC project with Janet from Julian Oak Park and Yasue from Japan. The experience has been inspiring and has motivated my kids so much. I wish to warmly thank Janet and Yasue for this great feeling. I can see their eyes light up when they go on Nicenet and share their knowledge and friendship in the spirit of giving and learning from each other. This is global collaboration at its best.

Finally, my 5th graders participated in Lieven's new animation project and the results are on share for everyone to see. Lieven is a special friends and partner.

Both my 5th and 6th graders have been participating in the new Wildfire project by Rozalija from Slavonski Brod, Croatia which educates children about the dangers of fire and fire safety. Rozalija is one of the globaldreamers who I had the honor to spend time with on the beautiful island of Hvar in Croatia and she is a very close colleague and friend.
So, as you all can observe we have had a busy but great week!!
